$20,000 to-WIN EAMS National 100 Count-Down

PHENIX CITY, AL (Nov. 1, 2009) – This week the East Alabama Motor Speedway will welcome racers from all across the United States as the sleepy Phenix City, AL dirt track (bordering Columbus, GA) opens up for the 35th edition of the “NATIONAL 100” weekend. Long range weather forecasts seem to be favorable for the 4-day MEGA EVENT that sweeps across the weekend beginning Thursday, Nov. 5th and culminates with features (including the $20,000. to-WIN dirt Super Late Model 100-lap showdown) Sunday, Nov. 8th. Many raceteams will compete in the 100-lapper, which pays a minimum of $1,000, just for earning a starting spot, as a season finale for 2009. Lots of racers will even pull DOUBLE DUTY, attempting to make more than one feature event on Sunday, with Crate LM's and Sportsman LM's paying $5,000 to-WIN
.

Lap and trophy sponsorship is still available, by contacting Beverly Thomas at the track. The WHISKEY BENT BAND will entertain fans with live music Sunday, prior to the dusk running of the main event. As a reminder Thursday night November 5th is Open Practice Night beginning at 7PM. Friday Gates Open again at Noon EST for more practice and Heat Races for Modified, 4-Cylinder and Cruisers. Saturday, November 7th Gates Open at 8AM with practice beginning at 10AM. Qualifying and Heats for Crate LM’s, Sportsman LM’s, and Super LM’s will take place Saturday, with Sunday’s Feature Races begin at Noon EST. RACECEIVERS are mandatory for ALL CLASSES and rentals will be available at the track.
