Buckner, MO (August15th, 2009)-The O'Reilly MLRA Presented by Lucas Oil Products returns to action this weekend, as The 24 Raceway in Moberly, Missouri hosts the MLRA Late Models on Saturday, August 15th. A-Mods, B-Mods, Sportsmans, Hornets, and Hobby Stocks will also be in action!
Pits and Grandstands open at 4:00pm with hot laps scheduled to get underway at 6:15. Racing is set to start promptly at 7:00. Omaha, Nebraska's John Anderson has closed the gap on Coffeyville, Kansas' Al Purkey in the season long points battle, as he now sits just 2 points behind Purkey. Purkey has 933 points to Anderson's 931. Joe Kosiski holds down the third spot with Adrian, Missouri's David Turner in fourth and Centerview, Missouri's Jason Bodenhamer in fifth. Denny Woodworth from Mendon, Illinois resides in the sixth spot while Belton, Missouri's Alan Vaughn slips back to the seventh position after not racing this past weekend in McCool Junction, Nebraska. Lancaster, Missouri's Chris Smyser holds down the eighth spot while Corning, Iowa's Bryant Goldsmith sits in ninth. 2009 Rookie of the Year Candidate and Archie, Missouri resident Matt Johnson rounds out the Top-10.
