I would like to hear from those of you who are 2nd,3rd,& possibly 4th generation racers. Our daughter Casey is a 3rd generation racer. My dad Bud Kiefer, Her dad Mark Schaefer. Let the stories fly. Thanks in advance Linda
 
I am a second generation driver my dad jim kopp raced latemodel and my uncle norm kopp drove latemodels late 70 s early 80s
 
I am seccond generation myself. My dad Leonard raced the old modifieds, in the seventies and early eighties, after racing drags in the Stl area in the late sixties. My son plans to be the third generation, or so he already says.
 
Well although no longer a driver, who talked me into this promoter stuff anyway? LOL!! My dad raced for 28 years he is now 74, I raced for 34 I am now 46, my son 25 is still racing been doing so for 16 years and my 4 year old grandson is driving the heck out of his 4 wheeler and getting ready soon.



Earlier this year a guy called and asked me to drive his kart one night at a local track. I had not driven anything in several years, especially a kart, so you know I had to take him up on it. It was pretty ironic. I was sitting on the starting grid, my son was cranking me, my grandson was waving from the other side of the fence. That was something I never thought I would see. Pretty amazing really.

Oh yea, I won by the way.

Chuck Father of Tony,Stooge father of Scott and Scott father of Korey..
 
the kneppers come pretty close to the weyants. art "butch" knepper drove midgets back in the 30's and 40's. dad (arnie) drove everything (some of which he wishes he wouldn't have) from the late 40s till late 80s. i (art) drove midgets, karts and 600 micros. my son reed has a quarter midget waiting for him. as far as the other kneppers, junior knepper owned cars since the 50s,son steve drives midgets and an occasional silver crown car, steve's son nick drives 600 micros, and probably will try out a midget this summer.ollie, ray, walter sr.,and al were all great-uncles of mine, and were all involved in racing as an owner,or driver. ray being the most notable as a driver. ray was the last surviving brother of my grandpa "butch",passing on about 6 years ago. good topic, linda!!
