NEW FLORENCE, MO (May 14) Threes are wild at Montgomery County Speedway!!! Bryan Collins, Rusty Griffaw, Craig Roden win their third features of the season. Paul Belken makes his third visit to MCS and picks up his third feature. Robert Denny ran third but picks up the feature win in the RAMS Mini Stock Division.
Bryan Collins returned to his 2004 form at MCS by achieving a triple crown, Bryan won his heat race, the dash and the feature event in the UMP Late Model division. This latest feature was his third at MCS to date.
Bryan credited his new partnership with Hovis Racing Engines for the providing the necessary power to help him return to his 2004 form.
Following Bryan to the line was Mark Voigt, Mark Gansman, Todd Rehg, and Steve Shive.
Rusty Griffaw continues his dominance of the UMP Modified division. Rusty won his heat race and then went on to win his third feature event in a row.
Following Rusty to the line was Brad White, Mark Miner, Gabe Regot and Jeff LaBaube.
There is still a $100 bounty to anyone that can beat Rusty in the feature event at MCS.
In other UMP Modified news Brad White won his heat race, the dash, and was 2nd in the feature to record his best finish to date in the UMP Modified Division.
In B-Modified action Craig Roden takes the lead on lap 5 from Dan Bimson and is able to hold off repeated charges from Bimson to pick up his third featue event of the season.
Following Craig to the line was Dan Bimson, Casey Morris, Harold Fox, and Randy Dickman.
In the Super Street division Paul Belken makes his third career appearance and records his third feature victory. Paul took the lead on lap one and held off repeated challenges from Darren Holland to record the victory.
Following Paul to the line was Darren Holland, Jeff LaBaube, Daryl Dodge and Sammy Worley.
In the RAMS Mini Stock division 3rd means 1st. Wes Kintz lead the entire feature event with Dave Wofford and Robert Denny giving chase. On the very last lap coming out of turn four. Wes Kintz became loose and started to spin out, Dave Wofford hit the left rear quarter panel to send him the rest of the way around.
Under Montgomery County rules if you take a car out with your front bumper you go to the back with the spun car. So the first two positions go to the back and 3rd place finisher Robert Denny wins his first feature event at Montgomery County Speedway.
Following Robert to the line was Pat Brewer, Scott Geary, Lane Ehlert and Joe Trendle.
