Ok, all you guys that are asking if the factory stocks are racing at TCS for the Octoberfest, I just talked to Bob himself. He asked me if you guys wanted to run, and I told him a couple of people were asking if they were part of the show. He said to tell you that since you wanted to race, he would include all of you in the show. So its on for Octoberfest. Now, make sure everyone knows and shows!!!!
 
When Bob said tell them they can run if they want to, I didnt think to ask if RAMS, Midgets, 4 cylinder rally cars or 4 cylinder SCCA cars could run too. I guess I just wasnt thinking straight. It just seemed kinda obvious to me what he meant, but I could be mistaken.:rolleyes: :rolleyes:
 
Ok, just to be completely clear about this. The answer is NO. There was never any discussion about it being an "open comp" night for 4 cylinders. I asked Bob if the FACTORY STOCKS (thats F A C T O R Y S T O C K S) were on the card for Octoberfest. His answer was NO. He said that in the past, after the season ended, a lot of them quit racing for the year, so he hadnt figured on running them at the Octoberfest. Then, he asked me if they wanted to run. I said there were a couple of FACTORY STOCK guys asking if the FACTORY STOCKs were on the schedule for Octoberfest, so I was calling him to find out. He then said "well, ok, tell them they can run." OK? That was the end of it. He changed his mind while I was talking to him, just because some people were obviously asking.

So, let the guys that are legal to run as a TCS FACTORY STOCK go race.

I am not meaning to be a jerk here, but the conversation was only about the TCS FACTORY STOCKS racing at Octoberfest and nothing else. Period. Nothing more. So dont read anything else into this, it is just the TCS FACTORY STOCKS that are racing, until Bob himself states otherwise.
 
Hey, t.nie, we know from an earlier post by you that the temp guage on your race car doesn't work--maybe you should check its driver, as well. :rolleyes: I don't really think anyone was trying to start up any rumors--they simply asked if the mini-stocks were ok. Take a deep breath and count to 10, please.

Actually, I do kind of agree with you--it SHOULD be obvious that 4-cyl cars meant the hornets/pro-4/wannabeez/factory stocks/wild things, etc. That just might be a first--t.nie and BP actually agree on something. :eek: :D

What won't be overheating is the weather this weekend--perhaps instead of Octoberfest we should call it OctoberFREEZE. :eek: Then again, h--l, it's mid-October in Middle Amererica--it's not SUPPOSED to be balmy. :rolleyes:
 
I am not blowing a fuse here, BP, with all due respect. Since I made the call, I am in some way responsible for this, so I want to make sure no one gets any ideas beyond exactly what was discussed.
