Four different nights and four different winners! As 110 cars rolled across the stripe taking lap times for the fourth night of the NARA Winternationals, young upstart and 2004 WDRL Champion Brady Smith yet again showed his muscle that he has diplayed throughout the entire 2005 running of Speedweeks by recording fast time.

With a strong wind blowing and the program reduced to six heat races instead of the normal format of nine heats as has been the program thus far for Speedweeks, the feature would roll onto a smooth, but slick track. At the drop of the green, front row starter Steve Shaver jumped to the lead and dominate the 40 lap event which lacked in passing as competitors all chose to run the bottom groove with rare exception. Several who chose to try the outer groove quickly fell back like they had gotten out of the draft at Daytona! Shaver would pocket $7,000 for his efforts over the 40 laps.

Following Shaver at the checkers after 40 rounds were Billy Moyer who dogged Shaver the entire distance, Rick Aukland, Brady Smith, Rick Eckert, Donnie Moran, Tim Dohm, Josh Richards competing for the first time during Speedweeks 2005, Steve Francis, Matt Miller, Rohn Moon, Terry English who has dominated Speedweeks activities thus far, Shane Clanton, Brian Birkhofer, Ray Cook, Billy Drake, Tim McCreadie, Dennis Erb, Jimmy Mars, John Mason and Jackie Boggs. Falling out earlier in the event and recording DNF's were Scott James, Don O'Neal, Dan Schlieper, Jason Montgomery and Shannon Babb.

heat races were won by Tim Dohm over Brady Smith, Steve Shaver over Brian Birkhofer, Rick Aukland over Rick Eckert, Josh Richards performing masterfully over Jason Montgomery, Donnie Moran over Terry English and Billy Moyer over Shane Clanton.

The consi races which transferred only the winner to the A-Main were topped by Steve francis, Jimmy Mars, Tim McCreadie and Billy Drake.

The non-qualifiers STRAWBERRY DASH was claimed by Pat Doar ahead of Eddie Carrier.

Don O'Neal and Scott James were added to the A-Main event on the heels of NARA points provisionals and Dan Schliepr yet again for the third time in 4 nights was added to the A-Main along with Shannon Babb as R.A.C.E. provisionals as a result of their cumulative performances in the 2004 running of the Dream 100, World 100, Topless 100 and Show-Me 100 events.

NARA Speedweeks 2005 presented by LUCAS OIL continues tomorrow night as the teams compete in Night #5 of 6 in the quest for the SPEEDWEEKS CHAMPION winners circle. the Friday night event will feature a $10,000 winners portion! Another record proportion group of competitors is expected as some of the teams who sat out tonight will be competing as well as some new entries that are expected to roll into town tomorrow, including Scott Bloomquist the 2005 World of Outlaws Dirty Dozen Champion take to the track.
