A-Mod Drivers To Recieve USRA National Points At Springfield Raceway March Madness

Springfield,Mo.-Springfield Raceway owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland announced today the the upcoming March Madness event on Sat March 24th will award USRA National points for the A-Mods.
This will give the drivers in the State of Missouri and surrounding areas another shot at collecting those valuable USRA National points. All USRA A-Mod rules(Weight,chip,spoiler,etc.will apply.)
The USRA National points chase began on March 2 and will run through October 21st.
A drivers best 20 finishes are calculated along with bonus points for car count and starting position as last season USRA paid $10,000 to the National Champion Johnny Bone Jr of Pea Ridge,Ark and drivers in the top 20 all recieved National money on top of their regular point fund money from the American Racer Weekly Series track point standings.
"This is a great chance for drivers to get a jump on the National chase and position themselves for the season long battle as over 40 plus tracks have joined the USRA Track Member program."quoted co-owner Jerry Hoffman.
Pit Gates for the March Madness will open at 1:30 while hot laps begin around 5PM.Drivers meeting is slated for 4:40 and draw cut-off will be at 5:15 while Racing begins at 6PM.
Action in this first annual event will also feature the MLRA and MARS Super Late Models competing for a $3,000 to win event along with B-Mods,Midwest Modz and the newest class to the Speedway for the young kids-THe young Lions which features kids 12-16 competing in Legend Cars.The Young Lions had 3 entries at the Turkey Classic and out of 22 total Legends 2 of those drivers finished on the lead lap in 12th and 13th place.
