(Warrensburg, MO) The final regularly scheduled big-money event of the year is fast-approaching at Warrensburg’s own Central Missouri Speedway. The excitement begins on Friday, September 3rd and carries on Saturday night September 4th when the ‘Mighty’ Modifieds close out the weekend with a 40-lap, $3,000-to-win, $250-to-start feature event. Friday night, the B-Modifieds will kick off the weekend with their annual $1,500-to-win special 25-lap race along with the modifieds qualifying for the inside row starting positions for the next night in a full program featuring qualifying races and a 20-lap scramble. The street stocks will also be on hand Friday evening in a non-track point’s race with an extra $20 going to all street stock feature event cars taking the green flag! The weekend finishes on Saturday night with the big money modified race with another full modified program of qualifying races and a scramble prior to the big race as well as the ULMA Late Models and Street Stocks competing in a regular championship points-racing night. Modifieds and B-Mods do not compete for track points this weekend.

Several A-Mod and B-Mod drivers saved themselves money on their entry fees for the events by pre-registering for the weekend’s events, the list of pre-registered drivers may be found under the special Labor Day section of the CMS website. Same night entries are available to all drivers in all classes this weekend. For the modifieds the entry fee for this weekend is $135, which covers the race entry and a two-night pit pass for the driver. For the B-Modifieds, the entry is $75, which covers the race entry and the driver pit pass for Friday night. All Friday pit passes are $30, Saturday pit passes are $35. Entry forms may be found on the track's Web site and are available the night of the events. All participating cars will be subject to technical inspections throughout the weekend at all times! There are NO additional track fees for drivers this weekend or the following weekend in any classes!

Past winners of the annual Labor Day Weekend modified special include Dave Meyer (1998, 2000, 2004), Joe Walker (1999), Justin Boney (2001, 2007), Richard Layne (2002), Tom Charles (2003), Terry Schultz (2006), Dustin Boney (2008), and Aaron Marrant (2009). It’s anyone’s guess who will visit victory lane for this year’s race but one thing is guaranteed, if Dustin Boney wins Saturday night it will be a complete sweep of the big-money specials by the Kansas City driver this year and the first time-ever that any driver has swept all three specials in the same year! Will another new winner walk away with the big pay or will someone repeat? Last week, Luke Feeback pulled off a huge win at the speedway with several hot-shoes trying to chase him down including point leader Jason Thompson, Rick Beebe, Aaron Marrant, Dustin Boney, Chad Lyle, Dean Wille, James McMillin, Nic Bidinger, and Terry Schultz. Note, mention of any driver’s name throughout this press release does not guarantee appearance. For the b-mods, all eyes will be on ten-time winner Brad Smith as he goes for the big win. He’ll have to fend off some hard-charging teenager such as Lucas and Ethan Isaacs and Troy Carlyle to claim the win as well as Nic Bennett, Jacob Ebert, Chris Brockway, and Jeremy Lile to seal the deal. Jon Binning has won three ULMA feature wins in a row and is the driver all other’s will have their eyes on this weekend while in the street stocks past champion Brian Johnson is hot off of his fifth overall feature victory this year just last week.

Track sponsor, Bad Boy Mowers are scheduled to be on hand with many product and equipment displays for those attending the races this weekend. Bad Boy Mowers feature 10-14 gallon fuel tanks, ½ inch steel front forks, auto neutral handles and the “strongest deck in the business.” The decks are made from 7-gauge steel with an added ¼” leading deck edge and also feature hardened blades; prices start at $4,495. Bad Boy Mowers is proud to be the value leader, go ahead and compare, they double dog dare you!
