Does anyone know if you are allowed to run Hoosier D.O.T. tires . I know someone who has a couple for sale but do not want to waste my money if you can't run them.
 
No Hoosier tire in Pro 4 at Pevely or Belleville. Allied does not allow them, if they are seen on a car they will be taken and impounded due to it is a racing part. Thanks for asking.
 
Hoosier DOT tires are no different than a Michelin, Firestone, B F G, or any other street tire. Just because they say Hoosier you will not get any better traction. Hoosier Tires do not manufacture their street tires. They are made by another tire manufacturer for Hoosier. General and Kelly tire manufacturers have made Hoosier DOT tires in the past. To find out if they can be ran, talk to the track tech where you are racing.
 
I think the tire the OP was referring to are probably racing tires. The racing version of the DOT tire has the racing disclaimer on the sidewall and as Unlimited stated, they will be taken and impounded!
