Lebanon,Mo.-The 2007 Racing season at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway will offer something for everyone as the track thats family run for family fun is set to start its 3rd full season.
Sat Afternoon March 24th the track will open its gates for a Special Sat afternoon practice session from around Noon till 4 and then on Friday Night under the lightd on March 30th a final session will be held with cars getting on the track from around 7 till 9:30 PM.
"The track is changing just alittle especially in turn 4 with a slight bit more banking and also on the bottom of the track cement burms will great the drivers in the corners."quoted owner Harold Armstrong."I think this will provide plently of close racing all over the track and will keep the dirt from getting on the racing surface after things get going.We are doing the Friday night practice so that drivers can actually get ready under normal racing conditions."
Easter weekend on April 6th and 7th the season opens with the 3rd Annual Modified Madness paying $6,000 to win and $600 to start for A Mods."With the track putting everyone on the normal Modified Tires,we hope for a big car count as this is one of the best paying Modified events in Missouri.Friday night April 6th will also feature full shows for both SuperStocks and Bombers along with a Kids Easter Egg Hunt at Intermission.Sat night will feature a full show for 305 Sprints along with the 50 lap Modified A feature and last round qualifying.Chad Kinder is the defending Modified Event winner.
April 13 the point battles will begin for the normal Friday Night classes including SuperStocks, A Modifieds, 305 Winged Sprints, Bombers, FactoryStocks and the newly formed B-Mods.
April 20th and 21st the 2nd Fast Factory 50 paying $5,000 to win and $500 to start as Friday night action will also have full shows for SuperStocks and Bombers with bonus points going to those drivers while Sat Night the popular Race Brothers Show-Me Racin Series LateModels will make there 1st of 5 appreances at the Midway along with the 1st ever appreance of the DLRA Legend Cars.
The next Week will find regular classes running.
May starts strong with the O'ReillyAutoParts MLRA Super LateModels making there 1st of 3 visits for the season as June 1st and a special Monday Night July 2nd Show will also showcase the MLRA LateModels will compete in the 1st Annual Larry Phillips Shootout Birthday Bash with a 75 lap feature paying $7500 to win and $750 to start along with NASCAR Drivers Kenny Wallace on hand for autographs and driving his Modified in a special $1000 to win $100 to start feature event.
The Show-Me Racin Series LateModels will compete on June 15th,Aug 3rd and also on Aug 17th as the 1st Annual Ozarks Rumble will feature the challange of the Show-Me Cars against the ever growing popular Fastrak MidWest Regional LateModels.
Enduro Racing hits the Midway at the end of each month starting in May as part of the regular program.
The DLRA Legend cars will also be part of the action on Friday night May 11th,June 22nd and Aug 3rd.
The ever popular Winged Outlaw Warrior 360 Sprint Cars will make there first ever appreance on Sept 21 along with 305 Sprints,SuperStocks and Bombers.
The Oval track season will close out on October 5th and 6th with the 3rd annual Coca-Cola Fall Brawl with over $50,000 in prize money feature the Show-Me Racin Series LateModels and other classes.
The Midway will also be hosting special events on Sat evenings as a new go-kart track has been builtin the infield along with 4-wheeler events.
A popular event in 2005 was the Flattrack motorcycles and they will return on Sat Night April 28th and Sat Night June 2nd.
Special kids nights with events for the kids 10 and under will be held on April 6th(Easter Egg Hunt) Friday June 8th(Kids Bike Races) Friday July 13th(Mid-Missouri Coin Scramble) and the always popular Sept 7th kids Bike Races.
