Lonnie Wheatley, DILLON, S.C. (June 9, 2007) – After chasing his stepson Bryn Gohn to the stripe in the inaugural asphalt event for the American Sprint Car Series one weekend ago, Florida's Kenny Adams kept ASCS Southern Tour asphalt victory lane territory in the family by winning Saturday night's 35-lap feature at Dillon Motor Speedway.

Adams took full advantage of Johnny Bridges' late misfortune to cash in on his second series win of the season aboard the Don Ott-powered B&W Enterprises/Goodson Farms No. 4a Shaw.

After establishing the quickest time in qualifying and then winning his heat race, Bridges paced the opening 25 rounds of the feature event for suffering a cut tire.

Adams assumed the point and raced to the checkered flag unabated, with Brian Smith taking advantage of Bridges' misfortune as well by taking over the series points lead with a runner-up finish.

Gohn claimed the show position, with Tim Perry and Adam Jackson rounding out the top five.
