Needing help with a fuel problem with my car I have a braswell 850 Alky carb and for some reason cant get the floats to set....... I have rebuilt carb, rebuilt bypass, and still have a fuel issue... The carb wont idle for very long then the fuel bowls fill up and starts to come out the vents which floods and kills the car... Any help would be appreciated and if anyone that knows how to tune carb thats going to Fayette county speedway tonight please let me know...

Make sure you have the good needle and seat. I had same problem on a brand new rebuild and the needle / seat kept sticking. If you are using top lube or running race alky with the lube in it it could be gumming up. Also, possibly change your floats, they may be filling up on you. What is your fuel pressure set at? Could also be a problem there.

replace the O rings on the needle n seat, hit them w wd40 then install them with the float adjusted low, adjust them till you can see the fuel in the pee hole,no need to have it running out

If you don't find the problem send it in. It's probably the needle and seat but could be a couple of other things. I'd be happy to look at it for you.

I would but I don't have a back up carb and I think it might be something else in fuel system idk wish u was closer I would take car too u

Check your fuel pressure, probably too high and will not let your seats seal. Seen it happen a lot
Let us know what you find

I have done and tried all these my fuel pressure is 6 to 7 and doesnt change but the fuel after siting and running will raise the float levels and flood the carb out so Im not sure but Im really appricating all the advice you guys are having on this issue

Your description is the symptoms of high fuel pressure. It only takes 1 lb too much pressure to overcome the needles. Not all gauges are accurate. I would turn it down some more and see what happens.
Good luck
Jeff
