Allied tire pressure rules

I believe the Allied tire pressure rule (sidewall max) needs to be changed. It is extreme to put that much air pressure on a dirt track. The point is to not un-bead the tires. thats not going to happen unless you are on the extremes of low tire pressure. If it unsafe to run 10 psi it is also unsafe to run 44 psi . Also fwd cars have more weght over the drive wheels. Rear wheeldrive cars will not unbead at lower air pressure. Any rear wheel drive car trying to stay whithin the rules is going to ge eaten alive by fwd cars. I would live to see rwd cars 20 psi and fwd cars 30 psi that would help even the playing field between the two. Please help me pressure allied to change the rule.

I think it should either be 30psi all the way around or don't bother even having it. I ran as little as 24psi in the RF this season, most the time ran it around 28 though, and haven't ever ran a tire off the bead. I've ran them even lower in the past.

I believe you will find an announcement at the rules meeting concerning this rule. I think it has been lowered to 30 lbs min. all 4

Thanks Don, i believe all the tracks have about the same rule now for pressure. If it's gonna change, hopefully it is checked EVERY night, not with just a few races to go in the season.

Same tech guys?

The pro -4 tire rule is 30 lbs minium. Yes we wanted the tire rules to be the same . Plus the rear wheel drive car and truck needed low tire peasure to be fair for them !!! We have hired Officails yet for 2011 racing season. Rules meeting friday at the bowl in Belleville start time 7:30 .
