This whole thread is kind of off topic to the whole racing deal.. but i don't know where else to post/ask for help.

I have a nice 98' minivan that i'm hoping to "shag" up...

I took out the back seats, put in a 6' lovesac and put in a nice shag carpet rug.

I'm looking for information on how i would be able to power a 27 inch televison set or so with the minivan, and hooking it up to my sound for the car...

I'm also looking for information on how i could power some blacklights for the back of the van....

I've seen this done with a spare car battery sitting in the back all hooked up somehow...

All I want is a shaggvan!

Help me oh knowledgable street racers.

you just need a converter turns 12 volt into 120 volt to power those items i belive even auto zone ect. sells them

So i plug this converter into my cigarette lighter or somthing?

And how the hell can i hook up the TV to my car speakers?

Try one of these:

FM Modulator

It'll play the audio through an unused FM frequency that you can tune to on your stereo (Like 87.1 FM)

Tim

cowracer is correct, that is a very cheap and simple way to run car audio through the TV.

Blacklights you will most likely need a separate battery, or run to the battery up front, just make sure you place a fuse block in the line and an on off switch so its not a constant draw.

oh yeah and dont forget the 12 inch chain link steering wheel... its a must for a shag van. Cheech and Chong had one in their van... why shouldnt you lol?

Very true.

It will be so.

I'm gonna have a hell of a time setting this modulator converter stuff up

Not so! It's pretty straightforward...

you unhook your radio antenna cable from the back of the radio and plug it into the modulator. Plug the antenna cable coming out of the modulator back into the radio. Plug in the left and right sound channel cables from the TV into the modulator, wire it up to 12VDC power, and set a station button to the modulator frequency on your radio.

Like falling off a log!

Tim

BTW- Do you know why mexicans like those little chain link steering wheels? It's the only way to drive with handcuff on! :D

yeah the fm modulator is easy... the blacklights will take a lil more work.

concerning the 12 in chain link steering wheel... nicely stated Tim lol.
