The biggest night of weekly racing this season at Paducah International Raceway has gotten even bigger…again. Track officials announced today that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Ken Schrader will be joined by Kenny Wallace for a special NASCAR Night of Stars appearance on Friday, April 25. All three drivers will be making the air trip from the Talladega SuperSpeedway to PIR late Friday afternoon following the conclusion of Nationwide NASCAR Series qualifying.

Kenny Wallace, who focuses on NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series racing, is well known for his unmatched sense of humor and his short track racing all over the country. Assuming an “on time” arrival from Talladega, Wallace plans to compete in the UMP Modified division Friday. On March 28 at PIR, Wallace finished a strong fourth in the Opening Night Modified feature.

Reserved tickets for the event are available and may be purchased by calling the PIR office (270-898-7469) during regular business hours Thursday.

Track gates will open at 3 PM Friday. The “Will Call” Window will open at 10 AM. The “Ticket Window” will open at 12 noon. Pit gates will open at 4 PM. Racing begins at 7:30 PM. Adult grandstand admission is $25, children 12 and under are $5.

There will be a limited autograph session with Earnhart, Jr. and Schrader. Kenny Wallace will participate in the autograph session, assuming his evening of Modified racing does not conflict. The first several hundred fans through the track gates when they open at 3 PM will receive “autograph line passes” enabling them to line up for signatures when called.

A six-division racing program is on tap with heats and features for the UMP Super Late Models, Modifieds, Pro (Crate) Late Models, and Street Stocks, along with the 4-cylinder Warriors and Vintage Racers. Because of the special nature of the evening’s festivities, the Super Late Model winner will receive $1500 and the Modified driver taking the checkered flag first receives $600.

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Ken Schrader, and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of co-owners as a partner in September of 2006. In 2008 the 3/8th mile high-banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights of Stars, the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, the USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. PIR races every Friday night and is located off Interstate 24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky. For more information call the PIR hotline at (270) 448-4PIR or the track at (270) 898-SHOW (7469).
