Inside Line Promotions - SANDUSKY, Ohio (Oct. 18, 2018) - For Chris Andrews and the Burmeister Racing team, the 2018 racing season was like a roller coaster ride - up one week and down the next.

"It seemed like we were just a tick off all season," Andrews said. "We started the year trying some things that simply didn't work out. Then we put a new car together and got a lot better. We just had some strange things happen. I'm ready to put this year behind us and regroup and get organized for 2019."

Andrews scored a pair of wins in 2018, both coming at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. He finished third in the Fremont Speedway championship standings, fourth in the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series presented by Ohio Logistics standings and seventh in the track standings at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio.

"I'm probably most disappointed in how Attica went," he said. "We struggled there for some reason and we also had some horrible luck. It seemed we were always just a spot away from having a good night at Attica."

Andrews, who was Attica Raceway Park's 410ci winged sprint car champion in 2017, recorded only three top-five finishes in 2018, including a runner-up result in July as the team's best effort at the track.

"Weekly racing around here is getting tougher and tougher," he said. "You can't come to the track unprepared. Races are won or lost in the shop. We have to work harder during the week.

"The Burmeisters have fantastic equipment, as good as any team in the pits. My guys have a lot of passion for this sport. We will have a team meeting and get organized and get to work to improve in 2019."
