Mods top 5

5. K. Wallace

Late models, this is correct
1. Dixon
2. James
3. B. Faust
4. Schrader
5. Sensel

Was a great show, especially in the mods.

Weber was in the process of going around Bittle for the lead and had a flat. Then with two to go Bittle fell out passing the lead to Smith and Schrader. Good racing all around.

UMP Rules

Does anyone know what happened to the "new UMP rule" that states that lapped cars will be put to the rear of the field on restarts? This was announced at the Highland Summer Nationals show. The announcer specifically announced that it was a new UMP rule, not a Highland rule. I haven't noticed any of the other UMP sactioned events following this rule, for example Farmington or Pevely. Was the Highland announcer wrong, or do the other tracks fail to follow the new rule?

I would think that this was just for highland and B-town. If UMP said this was supposed to happen allied would have enforced it.

That is NOT a UMP rule....

no flat for Weber, he just went into turn 1 too hard and spun and then LeBaube had no where to go and made contact. Both were done, but it didn't look as if either car was damaged too bad.

I doubt that the Highland announcer knew what he was talking about. I am pretty sure it is just a Highland rule. I have mixed feelings on this rule. If lapped cars hold their line, I prefer leaving them in their position. For lapped cars like Garner and some of the other idiots that seem to enjoy racing the leaders as they are being lapped (and not just in the feature), I wish I knew what to do with them.

bnkr

Jimmy that was what Mike said, so I just went off what he said. Ya Bnkr there was a few cars running a little too hard when the leaders came up on them. McQueery, Garner, and #13(Savage I believe) were about the worst at it.

Hmm. I assumed Mike was right on that one too, because he didn't show any signs of being remotely out of control and I can't remember him just spinning out on his own any time before. The racetrack between 1 and 2 was very strange so I believe it, its just odd.
