any results from friday night?

worley, #51, jason hunt, hurley, thompson, not sure the rest.
Only 8 cars, no passing, follow the leader around the bottom.

we had a 15 min intermisson, and sprints were standing up on straights,if we would had enough cars would been better races ,but every sprint out there was fast, what do u what, just asking

Keep in mind...

The Sprints had a ASCS event at Malden Friday night. He had 25 cars there I think for that. Mod count was up also since he had the ASCS event. More money and proven track. Just to early for Benton yet. Give it some time and it should pull the weekends that the other tracks do not have major shows set up. When the schedule permits I am sure the counts will go up.

I was at Malden with Dejournett's and we were originally going to Benton until he remembered the monthly ASCS thing. That's two cars. they can't afford every weekend to go play like that but I am sure there are more just like it doing that at a chance for more money.

Benton being dry... deep banks... good drainage. Great news to hear it was smooth. Hope that continues through the year. Not being smooth was the worst complaint I had heard years back. If you talk with the guy running the show through the night he should be able to adjust the track during the show if he feels it's needed or if it meets the show everyone is hoping to see and put together. Laying some water down between features is just a pass of a truck. Just takes time.

The results from Friday are on the message board at our web site (SemoSportsWeb.com). I'll try to get them on there each week.

The track was very smooth but slick very slick. It wasn't racey at all as stated earlier. I don't see them getting a sprint car count either because of the purse, if the drivers were to come support this track regularly whats going to keep the other tracks from lowering their purse?? Think about it!! If they want the car count they are going to have to buck up or I am afraid it's not going to happen. Although all the cars that do show up each week will be able to say they finished top 8 in points. 'lol' I understand it is very expensive to open a track and get things started up, but these sprint car guys can't show up with a less expensive car to accomodate the pay back. But what do I know, Just repeating what several drivers have told me when I asked about this track.

I plan to go down again tonight. It is a short drive. Look at the sprint pits before paying to get in. If no cars then I won't go in. I want to suppot them but I am not sitting there again until 11:30 to watch an 8 car sprint A main. Seems like a fair process to me.

I really hope this track makes it because I would like to see another place for the sprint cars to run. But I already know that this weekend a couple of sprints that were there last week won't be back this week. Maybe a couple more cars will show up to make up for those cars being gone.

I've never seen the payout for Farmington. I think it's $1500 to win but I don't know how it goes from there. I suspect much better. They seem to have a pretty loyal weekly group of cars. But your right if they are use to running for slightly higher pay out they aren't likely to pull even farther for less. Most of the cars come from that direction (north). It would kind of be like shooting yourself in the foot to suddenly show they'd run for less money.

360 pay outs generaly run less. I still think the best chance to increase car count is to generate interest from the 360 cars between here and Memphis. There is no longer a Memphis Friday track. As slick as the track gets a 360 would not be a big disadvantage.

It is hard to get a group of cars started. With all the sanctions running. It gives them too many options. It kind of hurts the weelky track shows. Every week there is typically a couple ASCS shows , a USCS show, a WOW show, a Sprint Invader show sometimes an NCRA or a WOO show all running somewhere reasonably close. Later this year the new All Star group (Mass) will be running somewhere close. It IS hard to get somethng new established. I am certainly glad it's not my money invested.

That right there "sitting there again until 11:30" is freakin' ridiculous and why I quit going when the track was open before.

8 cars and a feature at 11:30. I drive three hours to Haubstadt, In., see 36 cars, and I'm on the road back home at 10:20p.

it was nice agian last nite track was nice shaper races went smooth not alot of cautions. and ended right when the rain started. hang in there billy the car count will get better alot of people are watching it to see what happens.

Worley Motorsports is backing you 100%. Nice track to run on. We live almost 2 hours away and we were home by 12:30.
We all need to support our local tracks. Keep up the good work Billy.
