TULSA, Okla. (September 8, 2008) – As the Discount Tire Co. American Sprint Car Series Canyon Region enters the final portion of the 2008 season, several adjustments have been made to the series schedule

First, the event originally slated for Saturday night, September 13, at Casa Grande's Central Arizona Speedway has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

The ASCS Canyon Region next returns to action on Saturday night, September 20, atop Manzanita Speedway's ½-mile oval in Phoenix, AZ, an event that was added in late May.

Arizona race fans then get the best of both worlds on Saturday night, September 27, as the wingless forces of the ASCS Canyon Region take to Manzanita's 1/3-mile oval and the winged ASCS Southwest Region tackles Manzanita's ½-mile oval for the ASCS Fall Classic.

Also, the event originally scheduled for Tucson's USA Race Park on October 4 has been shifted back one week and will now take place on October 11.

The Discount Tire Co. ASCS Canyon Region will then finish out the season with the Buddy Taylor Memorial on Manzanita's ½-mile oval on October 18, Family Fireworks Night on Manzanita's 1/3-mile oval on October 25 and then the $5,000-to-win ASCS Non-Wing Western World Championships on Manzanita's 1/3-mile oval on November 6-8.
