The ASCS will be making a mid week stop at the Historic Riverside International Speedway on Thursday Aug 21 in the Mid South Showdown. Race promoted by TBJ Productions will be a second TBJ Promotions event held at the fast and tacky 1/4 oval this year. Riverside is a few hours drive south on I-55 in West Memphis Arkansas.

Tony Bruce Jr and the ASCS have announced that Thursday night they will changed the schedule length of the event and will now go "Forty for Shorty" in memory of Shorty Chambliss who passed away this week. A reference to the nick name of Shorty Chambliss. The regularly scheduled 30 laps event will now be a 40 lap event.
