Shannon Babb, the Mowequa Missile took home the $6,000.00 winners share tonight driving his Billy Moyer Racing #18 WATTERS, J&J Steel, Platinum Motors, CAR CITY, Hoosier by Smash, WICK Racing Products, SUNOCO Fuels, JAY DICKENS
powered Mastersbilt chasis during stop #4 of the 2003 UMP Cross Country Tour at the CROWN POINT Speedway.

Babb started the evening by recording a new track record in qualifying turning in a time of 12. 756, topping the other 27 cars on hand.

The dash was a walk away by the Babbster as he took the checkers a straightaway ahead of runner up Rick Aukland and the remainder of the field, Jim Partipillo, Wendell Wallace, Terry English, Jeep Van Wormer, Billy Moyer and Ted Loomis.

The first heat was Billy Moyer, babb bossman taking the point followed by Kevin Weaver, Russ Sheffler, John Provenzano, Turk Latizia, Jason Beier, Mike Metz, Bary Carlson, Guy Volk and Shawn Toczek.

The second heat was won by Ted Loomis over Steve Casebolt, Duke Whiseant, Bob Pierce, Wes Steidinger, Garrett Durrett, Jim Loomis, Kerry Matthew, Johnathon Bateman, Dennis Erb and Eddie Leviner.

The third and final heat was topped by Billy Drake over Ed Dixon, Steve Hillard, Bret Sievert, Dick Potts, Jim Letizia, Mike Kingma, Brian McCabe and Zach Hansen.

The consi which would add the final two transfer positions was topped by Wes Steidinger in commanding fashion over local standout Eddie Leviner who started the event deep in the pack!

There was a great deal of confusion in the original finish posted by the track as they had Moyer finishing ahead of Drake, Weaver in 13th position when he actually finished 6th, Jeep Van Womer was originally posted as 7th and he actually finished 8th, Provenzano was listed as 11th but actually finished 14th and to totally confuse things they had Barry Carlson down in the
feature when he didnt even run the feature. After what was at time heated discussion, most of the problems were corrected with the exception of Van Wormer and Provenzano who had already been paid but had left the premises.

The actual official finish was as follows:
