Lonnie Bailey, David Holder, Terry Houston and Steve Carlin all grabbed feature event wins at Quincy Raceways during a chilly night that saw lots of hot action on the quarter mile dirt oval during the first night of IMCA Late Model Points action.

Bailey drew the low number for the feature lineup and made good use of it by leading all 30 laps on his way to his first points feature win of the season at Quincy Raceways over the 22 car field. Rob Toland made a valiant effort to derail Bailey’s lead but was unable to mount enough of a challenge to get to the top spot. Toland settled for second with son Bobby in third, Mike Karhoff in fourth and Mark Burgtorf in fifth. Tom Darbyshire, Bailey and Toland the III were the heat race winner while Denny Woodworth captured the win in the Summy Tire and Auto Center Trophy Dash.

David Holder has made a few appearances at Quincy Raceways over the last few years but has never had much luck in the Miller Lite A-Modified division, but Sunday night was different as he made good use of his front row starting spot. Holder jumped into the lead at the drop of the green flag and pulled to a comfortable margin until the last five laps of the 20 lapper. Henry Delonjay charged through the field and brought himself into striking distance with five laps left. Delonjay tried in vain to get past Holder but had to settle for second at the checkered flag. Brandon Lennox took third ahead of Ted Allen in fourth and Gary Wilson in fifth. Brandon Brown and Michael Long were the heat race winners while Lennox grabbed the win in the P&S Auto and Truck Collision Repair Trophy Dash.

The B-Modified feature event was time limited to only 8 laps of the scheduled 20 circuits as numerous caution flags slowed the action. Rob Carter took the lead from his outside front row starting spot at the waving of the green flag but Terry Houston got by to take the lead on the second lap and held on through all the mayhem to take the feature event win. Carter settled for the second spot with Robbie Reed in third, Joe Hooper in fourth and Wyatt Lance in fifth. Carter and Joe Bliven were the heat race winners.

The Bomber feature event was a battle from start to finish with the action being close for the top five spots throughout the 20 laps of the main event. Steve Watkins Jr. took command for the first two laps with Steve Carlin taking over on the third lap. Carlin then held off Watkins over the remaining laps to take the win with Watkins holding off Adam Birck, Jerry Jansen and Jeff Delonjay for the second through fifth place positions. Watkins, Eddie Dieker and Birck were the heat race winners.

Up next at Quincy Raceways will be Scout Night as all Scouts wearing their uniforms will be admitted free on Sunday, May 1. Gates open at 4 with Hot Laps at 5:45 and Racing at 6:30pm.
