Barbeck Communications Modified Bonanza Rescheduled For July 21; Hornet Championships Moved

(Macon, IL) Weather conditions on June 2 forced the cancellation of the racing program at Macon Speedway that included the BARBECK Communications Modified Bonanza – a special $1500 to win race that is part of the FAST FIVE Racer Appreciation Series. Macon Speedway is pleased to announce this event has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 21.

The BARBECK Communications Modified Bonanza adds to an already festive event planned at the Speedway – Christmas in July – a Toy Drive for “Christmas for Kids” in conjunction with Prairieland A.B.A.T.E. including a special summertime visit from Santa Claus.

Illinois State Hornet Championships previously scheduled for July 21 are being moved to Saturday, July 28. This FAST FIVE series event will pay $500 to the first place UMP Hornet car. Anticipate extra fun with the “Weiner Dog” races also planned for this night.

Macon Speedway will welcome the BARBECK Communications team on Saturday, July 21 and is proud to be associated with a company dedicated to quality products and service. BARBECK Communications is very active in their local communities through various sponsorships and employee volunteer hours.

NASCAR Stars Kenny Wallace, Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Macon Speedway in January of 2007.
