For the first and only time in the 2003 racing season the STARS Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Presented by Arizona Sport Shirts ventures west of Interstate 65 as the series heads to the Soggy Bottom Speedway in Morgantown, KY this Saturday Night, June 21. There will be a complete show for the BoB Boys with Racing Optics Time Trials, Heat Races, AFCO B-Mains and the 40 lap main event paying $3000 to win and $250 to start.
Kentucky's Premier Dirt Late Model Sanctioning Body will be making its second visit to the Mack and Lisa Gabbard promoted 3/8ths mile high banked clay oval. It will be the only Late Model show at Soggy Bottom in 2003. Last year's visit by the Battle of the Bluegrass saw Johnny Wheeler capture the victory before a huge crowd of spectators. So far in 2003 there have been seven Battle of the Bluegrass races contested with six different winners. Several drivers following the series this year will make their first ever visit to the track.
