LMAO....AND YOU STILL SPELLED IT WRONG!

If it means having BelleClair around for next year, I will gladly agree to a few more nights of cancellations this year, when weather or other factors make it financially suicidal to race. If a few of you chowderheads had to finance and promote a venture such as this out of your own pocket, you would be singing a different tune. The problem is, 99% of you crybabies don't have the wherewithal or scruples to run your own households, let alone a business. So you will never understand anyway.

Didnt realize that we were getting graded on our spelling on this forum! My bad maybe next time i will look up every single word to make sure i have spelled it correctly so my grade doesnt go down.

Anyways back to the topic. Yes i totally understand the whole money situation here. We build these cars to race and not to sit in the garage on nice evenings when the show could have went on. My personal opinion on the whole business side of it is that you will have your good nights and your bad nights. So you take the good with the bad. But if it means that the track stays open all year then i can agree with the decision. So i guess i should i should have looked at business side of it instead of the racers side of it. Bash me all you want for being a racer and wanting race on a night that we could have run.

i understand the money but in my opinion they had $500 to win sportsman that night and everyones name that started with a d go into the races for free.. so there is several factors they had to look at.. not enough cars showing up to get enough money to pay everyone the purse and everyone that got into the track for free.. they had both them playing a role in not making enough money to pay all 5 classes the purse plus the extra it was to pay the extra $$$ to the sportsman winner.. yes it was a bad call but they had to look at it from a business prospective.. they saved a lot of people money and time from hauling all the way there and it down pour and they get mad cuz they didnt cancel sooner.. them big rigs r not cheap on gas at all

Here's what I think about them calling the races off! And I'm sorry if I offend anybody by saying this. But it didn't bother me one bit.I had to work.

Tom, wasn't grading you on spelling. Just laughing at the irony.

And I have to agree. I was just as disappointed as anyone that we didn't get to race BC. But having promoted quite a few barrel racing events in my day, I can see the trees on the other side of the forest. I've been in the position several times where I have had to pull money out of my pocket to pay the purse. I've also endured 100 angry local cowgirls screaming at me for deciding to hold an event (for the sake of the out of towners who traveled from KS and OK) when there was two inches of water standing in the arena and they didn't want their $50K horse running in slop. Your damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's not an easy job, and the decisions are never popular with everyone. And the sad part of it is, NO ONE ever Thanks You for trying.

Too many "bad nights" such as BCP had three weeks ago (when there were only 350 or so fans in the stands) can quickly offset the good night that they had at the Shamrock (when the place was packed). Where do we go when the money runs out????

I never saw one person compliment BC on the upcoming fan/racer giveaway or the first ever 100 lap modified race for $1500 to win.

I suggest you get up tomorrow morning and thank the good lord for the good things in your life. Include the local dirt tracks who work so hard to please in spite of all the negative feedback.

People complain about everything including the track and Tommies spelling.

Tommie dont change, i love you the way you are. King you and me are going to have a talk about that! Lmao

Tom i agree with everyones posts and its all good. Its what makes this counrty so good....freedom to have choices and we are blessed to have some in this area in the local tracks around here. Plus i **** at speeling so i hope we dont start dogging that...........lol

I wanted Bell-Clair to run as bad as anyone, but I don't have a problem with their decision. A lot if not all of the decisions made by Donnie Hoener have to be made with the business side taken into consideration. I understand it full well. It's no secret the B-ville runs on a much tighter budget than say TCS or I55. Bad nights for them aren't good, but too many bad nights for B-ville will shutter the place. This is only Hoeners 2nd year promoting the track. Hopefully the day will come where he can take the chances that others can take. Until then he has to do what in the track and HIS best interest. It's his azz on the line, not mine or anyone complaining. If not for him the place was for sure heading to closure. So I thank him for what he's done and continues to do. If it means having Belle-Clair Speedway stick around for years to come, I'm all for it.

Obviously, most of you were not starting to load your stuff in the rain like i was in Bartelso! Did I want to race, yes. Was i mad they called it, not at all. Gave me time to visit some friends i dont get to see very often during race season. But i met them at Brownstown race track and still got my racing fix. Jon Ripperda

I recall sitting through a snow storm one time when I was a kid. Standing under the edge of a building waiting for storms to pass at KLMS. Wrapping up in blankets until 1 in the morning to see the features finished. Real racefans and racers brave the elements no matter how bad. But decisions have to be made when weather comes. Rules have to ne followed when neighbors complain. There's always next week and next year if we're lucky.

very true I was at tri city years ago for a race and was snowing had to go to ground to rub your feet on concrete to get some warmth but it is what is and always got next week

I went to TCS on Friday night... For those of you who say it wasn't very cold... Were you the one of the people under multiple blankes? I was in jeans and a hoody and I froze. We left before the modified feature... Had the late models ran 1st, I would have left right after that... But I stuck around to watch Brent and Babb. The wind in your face didn't help the matter but that's TCS for you lol you can always count on the wind in your face there.

What has racing come to know adays? A bunch of whimps? True racers race whenever, wherever. I went to Tri-City last night and froze to death, but honestly it was way worth it. Havn't been in years. Dirtyboy is right!!! Who else remembers their dads taking them as kids to the races when it was too cold or too hot? Back in the day, they raced forever. One time the races didnt get over till 4am at Tri-City. I sure do wish Tri-City would get Sportsmans back because i know for a fact that we would go there. Don't worry, next week it will be to hot. If you cant stand it, then stay at home and quit your complaining. I applaud Tri-City for being open last night. That's my .2 cents but thats all i have to promote with anyway.
yea i went to froze also but i mustne seen something different. i seen alot of follow me, i know the way around racing. im done going to both tracks. i drove to belleville and stood out in the sprinkle, wasnt even soaked. then i dont know why shouldve known what to expect at tri city. but ent anyways. theres always better choices on saturday anyways. good luck this year BC you lost my three buddies and me. and i was so embarrassed talk ing my buddies into going to granite.

Some of you must think that a race track can survive on the die hard racers and fans alone. I think you need to guess again.

There is some genious, hillbilly, white-trash remarks on this thred. Speak and write in plane english morons. If you dont think BelleVegas is doin it right the past two years then you are evidently spending your time at another race track with yur sister. Why yur eyes is so close together-know whut I mean?
