What happened to Korte tonight? What will happen to Weidner for decking the official in the infield after the big wreck?

Odds are he will be thrown out for good unfortunatly.... Wich is a shame for someone young and as fast as him! Getting his chit destroied by some old no talant looser like gaeschel he was washed up and couldnt drive years ago what makes him think he can drive a late model now.... Its a total shame i seen the car its a total loss looked like the engine took a pretty bad hit too took the motor mounts out.... Personally i would have let him go and let him loose on gaeschel and let him take that race car out of his *****!

While you may be right, it wasn't the officials fault though! I was in turn 1 so I didn't have a great view of the wreck. Did Gaeschel just put him into the wall?

Can somebody explain why Belleclair Speedway smelled like Wrigley Field tonight? That was awful. I'm assuming there is a sewage issue nearby that was beyond the control of the track. I'm not at all blaming BC, but that odor was foul.

It appeared to me that Geaschel punted Weidner into the wall. It was the scariest wreck I hope I see all year. The fact that we saw him running towards the 8 car was a great sign. I seriously thought he would be badly hurt after that crash. Very few crashes scare me, that one did.

The water treatment plant is right behind the track. Usually the wind blows it the other way. Unfortunately the wind was in the wrong direction tonight.

Quote of the night made by TTG. "boy oh boy Matt Weidner really had a hard hit. Initially, I thought he could have been seriously injured. I am no doctor but by the way he ran after Geashel I would say that he is probably OK".

the 8 car did not put matt into the wall intentially.i was sitting in turn 4 it happened right in front of us,in the middle of 3 and 4 there were several holes and ruts.it did look to me like the 8 car got into the turn way to hot. he hit that rut and made his car push up the race track.unfortunetly matt was right there.glad to see he wasnt seriously hurt.i guess thats racing. but it does **** to see a nice new car get destroyed on the first night of the year.

i was in turn 4 and from my point the 8 car couldnt run a lap without driving 3 lines on the track. whether ruts or getting to hot, no excuse. you cant run the whole race reckless and thats why this incident happened. not disagreeing with you jmo. very glad matt was ok and looking forward to seeing him back in a car.
