Granite City, IL -- Oktoberfest at Tri-City Speedway Saturday, October 16 features the "Ironman Nationals" and the huge "Double-O" for both Sportsmen and Street Stocks.

The "Ironman Nationals" features $1,000 to win on Tri-City's tight quarter-mile dirt and full field of steel-block Late Models is expected to compete in a full program of heats and a 25-lap feature event. The Modifieds will also run on the quarter-mile for $500 to win.

:eek: For the first time in over two decades, the exciting "Double-O" returns to Tri-City featuring the Sportsmen and Street Stocks. The field takes the green flag on the flat half-mile dirt and as the cars exit turn four to complete one lap, drops down onto the quarter-mile and completes another lap. The first one across the finish line after 30 combined laps wins $500, plus $25 lap for every lap led, making it possible for a winner to lead every lap and walk away with $1,250! :eek:

All pit passes are $25.00 and there is no rain date for "Oktoberfest."

Rules for the "Double-O"
Motor: All steel visible stock, aluminum intake OK;
Carburetor: Any production 2bbl OK, 500-cfm Holley, one only

Is there a complete payout list? What time do the gates open? Is there a limit to the lexan? How many cars will start? Are both classes running together at the same time?
