(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing team invaded Illinois and Missouri over the July 18-19 weekend for a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events. On Friday night, July 18, Billy Moyer recorded his fourteenth victory of the 2008 racing season at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. Billy qualified well and won his heat race prior to leading all fifty laps of the 'Budweiser 50,' which was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for broadcast later in the year. The driver known as "Mr. Smooth" reached victory lane by defeating a stout field including the top five of Earl Pearson, Jr., Billy Faust, Billy Drake, and Brian Birkhofer.

The wheel-to-wheel action quickly turned to the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on Saturday evening, July 19 for the $10,000 to win 'CMH Showdown.' Billy ran fourth in his competitive heat race to advance into the 50-lap main event, where he later rolled off thirteenth on the grid. During the course of the A-Main at the 3/8-mile speedplant, the Batesville, Arkansas native was able to pass four cars en route to a ninth place performance. You can view complete results from the doubleheader weekend online at www.lucasdirt.com.

"It was a good race the other night at Granite City and I am glad we came out on top," exclaimed Moyer via telephone today. "The track was quite a bit different from when we won there a couple of weeks ago on the UMP Summernationals, but we were able to get the car right for the track conditions. I think the fans got their money's worth out of the racing action and it should be a great race for television. Fourteen wins is a great season this day in age, but hopefully we have some more up our sleeve before the year is over!"

Billy and his famed #21 team have a busy stretch of racing in front of them, as they are slated to travel to Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin in the next few weeks. Their next event will be the 'Subway 50' at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Friday night, July 25. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will sanction the $10,000 to win event, which will also be taped for broadcast on the SPEED Channel. Below is Billy's upcoming schedule:

July 25 | Eldora (OH) Speedway, World of Outlaws (TV) | $10,000 to win
July 26 | Sharon (OH) Speedway, World of Outlaws (TV) | $10,000 to win (tentative)
July 29 | Lernerville (PA) Speedway, World of Outlaws (TV) | $40,000 to win
July 31 | Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, WDRL | $5,000 to win
