(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) ventured to the states of Illinois and Missouri over the September 12-13 weekend for a pair of $10,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series events, which were dubbed together as the ‘St. Louis Showdown.’ On Friday night at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, Billy Moyer laid down the quickest lap overall during the qualifying session prior to scoring the win in his loaded heat race. After starting from the inside of the second row in the 50-lap headliner, Billy wound up fifth in the final finishing order behind only his son and victor Billy Moyer, Jr., Brian Birkhofer, Tim Manville, and Jason Feger.A similar program was held on Saturday evening at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri and another $10,000 top prize was on the line.
