Batesville, Arkansas (8/17/09) –Billy Moyer Jr. qualified for his second consecutive COMP Cams Topless 100 starting grid over the course of the weekend in his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis by Moyer/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Billy Moyer Jr. carried his midseason momentum into the 17th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas over the course of last weekend. The Lucas Oil Late Model Series event drew 68 of the nation's top Super Late Model pilots. In group qualifications on Friday, Moyer Jr. timed in 17th fastest to earn the sixth starting position for his heat race. In the heat, Billy would battle to a fourth place finish behind Earl Pearson Jr., Dan Schlieper, and Raymond Merrill. With only the top three cars transferring to the feature, Moyer Jr. was relegated to the second b-main event, where he started on the pole. Billy would jump to the lead at the drop of the green flag, and enjoyed a stress free event until lap 13th when he made contact with a lapped car. Moyer Jr. would continue, but with heavy right-side, body damage. Despite the damage, Billy went on to win his b-main to earn the 20th starting spot for the 100 lap feature event, which was being taped by the Speed TV cameras! Billy would battle around midpack before retiring near the race's midstage to a 20th place finish in the crown jewel.
