Mark Ford

He pulled off because the track was very rough and dusty. He didn't think the risk was worth possibly tearing up his car.

the race!!!!!!!!!

The race should have been named Blue grass Bash (TO SURVIVE) that had to be the roughest race track I have ever seen......11 cars were left in the feature out ot 26.....we got there around 11 A.M. and it got done after 10 P.M.......what a day.....

Blue Grass Bash....

If they ever host another bluegrass bash, how many people from this area plan on going back?? I know for me it was just a big let down. I think next year I will just save my money and wait for I-55 to open.

Dan Hamstra went there; took one look at the track and came to Clarskville instead. He won the feature there. Smart move Dan!

I think Windy Hollow would have been a fun track to race at if the people there would learn to take care of it and get it worked in right. The organization of the event was also questionable, wasn't it great that the qualifing was first come first serve??

I agree with Goatroper... The track was probably the roughest I have ever seen. There was not one smooth groove or even close to being smooth. These holes were not small little bumps either, they were canyons. This track is very fast though. In turn 3 (the last turn), they were flat out getting with it around that corner. I think that Ray Walsh might have gotten screwed. He was running somewhere close to Jeff Leka, when the caution came out for the mid race pit stop, and when they lined up he was next to last. There were 3 or 4 other number 1's and I think they traded spots with him. The guy that one was very impressive in speed, but Leka really stepped it up in the last 5 or 6 laps. He could of had 2nd place on the next lap and maybe might have had a shot at the win in another 5 or so. Long day, rough track, dusty too, but there were still some very fast race cars with a lot bigger nerve than me to drive like they did on a track like that, but they all put on a heck of a show...
