Bob King of Independence, Missouri added his name to the ULMA winners' list this year after when he became the fifteenth different driver to win a feature event this season. In other weekend action, overall point leader Kevin Kaiser of Warsaw, claimed his third win of the season and padded his point lead in the process. Kaiser has now claimed victory at three different tracks in 2009, including the early season special at 24 Raceway in Moberly, Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) in Warrensburg, and now Callaway Raceway in Fulton. Ironically, Kaiser has yet to race to victory lane at his home track, Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri.

After racing to his first-ever ULMA win last weekend at CMS, Randy Ainsworth was the highest finishing ULMA driver of the night last Friday evening at Butler Motor Speedway (BMS). Ainsworth continues to post solid finishes this year and came away with a second-place run at BMS. The Excelsior Springs driver has now amassed twenty starts this season and is tied for third in the overall standings. Dwight Niehoff of Lockwood finished with a solid fifth-place performance, the first of two top fives for the young driver over the weekend. Niehoff sits in eighth position in the overall standings heading into this weekend. For more information log onto the track's official Web site at www.butlermotorspeedway.webs.com. Jeff Schlup, who has four victories at the speedway ran second to Kaiser and scored yet another top-three finishing performance. Once Schlup hits the 15 starts mark this season, the battle for the overall title will become even closer than it is now, Schlup currently has 14 starts. Robbie Test of Jefferson City scored a top-five run by finishing in fourth and keeping his title hopes alive. Bob Test and Walt Imhoff also left Callaway Raceway with top ten finishes. Racing resumes Friday, July 31st with another week of competition, if Mother Nature forces the cancellation of Friday racing, the program will be ran on Sunday, August 2nd.
