Opening night of the Steve Schmitt Super Summer Series at the Bond County Raceway is now history, and incredible competition graced the speedway. 2000 track Champion Steve Maisel barely held off a late charge by Steve Stevenson in the Sportsman main event. Buddy Love saw his first ever winners circle in the Street Stocks, barely holding off the charges on Darin Patton and Ricky Huebner. No stranger to the winners circle, Tyler Robbins took the Micro main event, with Don Sandiford and Rob Shaw winning the SOHC and DOHC Factory Stock features respectively. I have some nice action shots that I'll be posting in a day or so, but once it got dark I put the camera up.... Bob will have all of the heat and feature win pics. It was a good show...we had a good time! With Zach racing right next door, I'm sure we'll be back...saw some real good racing!
