Boundless forms new late model series, Bloomquist signs deal with them.

I guess Bloomer didn't like the Goodyear deal with Xtreme. This is not a good deal for Doug Bland and the Xtreme organization.

Although, I'm sure Birky and Jimmy Mars are smiling right now!
 
The 12 drivers that are committed are:

Scott Bloomquist, Mike Balzano, Darrel Lanigan, Billy Moyer, Chub Frank, Dan Schlieper, Steve Francis, Dale McDowell, Rick Eckert, Rick Aukland, Bart Hartman and Wendell Wallace.
 
They could put on a great show if they ran around here. With great regional drivers Don O'Neal, Shannon Babb, Randy Korte, and Terry English plus other drivers that might commit to the series, it would make for a very strong field.
 
There is going to be some more big news with this series announced in the next few weeks.

Maybe even co-sanctioning some events with some other late model series (not XDCS)
 
It's very interesting to see that Moyer is going to follow a series again but it does say TENTATIVE commitments!
 
Hopefully they will schedule some races in Missouri so we can see those great drivers racing other than the Show-Me 100.
 
I wonder what that "other series" is that they will run some races with? UMP?? Come on Jimmy, you know something here....

This is bad news for Doug Bland all the way around. He is not only losing Schlieper and Bloomquist from the extreme series, but is also losing Chub Frank and Mike Balzano from his newly bought extrme northern series. This would be a great show anywhere they go. The thing I like the most is that when a track advertises that these drivers will be there, they will. The article says 40 races. Bound to be a race around here. The drive is well worth it.
 
This news is great. I didn't agree with the xtreme and goodyear deal. Hoosier has been around a long time. I can understand running Goodyear's, but don't rule out Hoosier. I think it will blow up in Bland's face. The Boundless series looks like a pretty good deal. I would like to see them run at I-55.
 
Just watering down the product even more. I really don't care who the premier group is, as long as there is only one and can provide the best show all the way around. Boundless has the names (they claim), Xtreme has the money, NARA has the ESPN2 deal. The racers now have the headaches of forming alliances with whatever they see is the best deal, and they better hope they pick the one that survives this whole mess. For if they don't, I doubt they will be welcomed back with open arms to the series that survives.
 
I don't think there is a need for ONE premiere series. There have been half dozen or more series for years. This just adds one more.

In reality, how many of these 12 drivers have you see race in this area anyhow? Once at the XDCS show at Tri-City last year was it. And not all of these 12 drivers were even there.

It is good for the drivers, more options, more chances for more drivers to make more money.
