(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith's 2014 win total now stands at four following a weekend sweep of Blaine Brothers Challenge Series action in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota on August 8-9! On Friday night at the nearby AMSOIL Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin, Brady ran second in his heat race prior to rolling off from the inside of the third row in the 40-lap headliner. Brady worked his way to the front of the field on lap 27 and led the remainder of the distance to score the $2,000 triumph over Jake Redetzke, Ricky Weiss, Don Shaw, and Darrell Nelson!
At Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minnesota on Saturday evening, a similar Blaine Brothers Challenge Series show was held for the WISSOTA Late Models. Brady once again finished second in his heat race and later started the A-Main from the inside of the second row. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin ace completed the weekend sweep by claiming the $2,000 payday ahead of Adam Hensel, Zach Johnson, John Kaanta, and Jake Redetzke! Brady and his #2 team plan to take the upcoming August 15-16 weekend off from competition, but will be hard at work prepping their equipment for a World of Outlaws Late Model Series doubleheader on August 22-23. On Friday night, the I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan will play host to a $10,000 to win battle, while the Merritt Speedway in Lake City, Michigan will do the same on Saturday evening. Brady will be looking for his second WOOLMS victory at Merritt, as he took the checkers in the Wolverine State back in 2011.
