Things kicked off on Thursday evening at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee with the annual running of the 'Scorcher.' Brandon stopped the clock fifth quickest in his group during Ultimate Super Late Model Series qualifying and later grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the $10,000 to win main event from the outside of the eighth row, BK wound up retiring after only sixteen circuits in the 50-lapper and was officially paid for a twenty-first place showing.
A pair of Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series programs then took center stage in the Peach State over the weekend. At North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia on Saturday night in a $10,000 to win show, Brandon unfortunately got into the wall during qualifying prior to suffering a flat tire while in a transfer spot in his heat race. In the weekend finale on Sunday at Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia, which boasted a $5,300 top prize, the Lexington, Kentucky ace utilized a provisional to gain access into the 53-lap feature. Brandon had then moved up a handful of positions until he was ran off the racetrack by another competitor, which ultimately forced him to retire with another twenty-first place effort.
