(MUSCATINE, IOWA) Brian Birkhofer landed two Top Ten finishes in World of
Outlaws Late Model Series competition over the weekend. Brian won his heat
race and won the dash to earn the pole position for the 60-lap, $10,000 to
win WoO feature event at the Eagle Raceway in Lincoln, NE on Friday night.
The Daufeldt Transport / J&J Steel / Simon's Trucking #15b MasterSbilt / Pro
Power Monte Carlo wound up finishing eighth in the event on the ultra-racy,
1/3-mile track.

Brian then finished fourth in the WoO event the next night at the Farley
Speedway in Farley, IA. The #15b timed in fifth fastest among the cars
present for the $10,000 to win show. Brian once again captured his heat
race and then finished fourth in the dash. In the feature, Brian battled in
the Top Five throughout the event, finally settling for fourth place when
the checkered flags fell over the field.

"We were just a little off both nights in the feature," exclaimed Birky from
his Muscatine, IA shop. "At Eagle, we missed on the setup a little and then
didn't have the right left rear tire on as it turns out. We made the right
tire selection at Farley, but we still just missed a bit on setup. Brian,
Tee-Ray, and myself are going to make a few changes this week and try to
step our program up. Running in the Top Five and Top Ten is important and
we have been consistent pretty much all year, but we also need to start
visiting victory lane a few more times."

Brian Birkhofer Racing has tentative plans on attending the 1st Annual 'Late
Model Showdown' at the Outlaw Motor Speedway in Muskogee, OK this weekend.
The show is unsanctioned and will pay $20,000 to the winner. You can learn
more about this event at www.outlawmotorspeedway.com.

"I am planning on running the event at Muskogee this weekend, but plans
could change," said Brian today. "I am not really fond of the format that
they are running with the qualifying races setting the inside and outside
rows, but I will probably still make the trip down there. I will make a
final decision later on in the week, so make sure you keep up on my
website."
