So far many of the drivers from our area are having a tough time down here in Florida. Brian Shirley has had nothing but bad luck day after day, everything from mechanical problems to close but no cigar finishes.
That was until last night when Brian finally got that monkey off his back, not only did Brian get the monkey off his back, he kicked, slapped and punched the monkey sensless.
Brian finished 4th or 5th in his heat and had to run the semi in order to make the feature. Brian ran second most of the race until passed late in the race to put him in third. Third here in Florida only means you get to watch the feature from the stands.
Brian decided 3rd wasn't good enough so he charged back into second and on the white flag lap made a balls out, banzi charge into turn 1 to take the lead to make the big show.
Good Job Brian, hope your luck continues to improve.
