Brownstown meeting???

Please note there has been a change in plans ... Street Stocks can run 4 barrels.

Also, the BOMBER class will run under the 2004 Rules, however all cars will be reqiured to run E-Mods.

Plus, the UMP Pure Stock class will be added to the program as well ...

This is the kind of thing that just drives me crazy!
You change the rules of the superstreets (aka sportsman at any other track) to be more in line with other local track rules but then you gotta keep it just a little bit different and allow 4 bbls. Whats the point?!

I know its not that much work to change carbs but a 2 bbl is the great equalizer. It will make a $5,000 motor run like a $2,500 motor. The 4 bbl is much harder on motors too.

I know I dont run at B-town very often so you can say I have no right to complain but this just drives me crazy. All these sportsman cars out there that are real close on the rules but every track has to throw in their own little monkey wrench to screw it up.

Thanks to all the tracks that have changed their rules to be more in line with other tracks, but if your gonna do it dont go half way. Swallow some pride, call the other promoters and track owners, get together and come up with a set of rules. Its in your own best interest.

hammertime,

B-Town does not run "SuperStreets." They run SPORTSMAN!

Take your "late models" on E-Mods and keep them @ Flora!!

Charlie is headed in the right direction but Terry is right the 2 bbl is a great equalizer. All the expensive porting and polishing and big heads etc. does you no good if you gotta choke it thru a 2bbl. It also takes a lot more bottom end to hold up to the extra horse power a 4bbl will give you. I have a 4bbl and dart block and all the goodies but I would much rather have more cars to run against.
