Nut behind the wheel
Hot laps at noon, gates are open at 8am. Its going to be a warm sunny day, get out of your easy chair, and into the stands!!!
 
Wouldnt have been so bad if we hadnt made 2 trips nearly there towing 2 push vehicles, (@200 mile drive) only to find out they were cancelled. Mr. Brian Thompson neglected to even call us, and tell us to turn around. Bobby Bittles family was nice enough to see us on 255, and let us know.
 
I FELT THE SAME YESTERDAY. I thought they could of had someone answering the phone instead or a recording, whne its raining everywhere. From what Bret Severt said they only had about 14 latemodels there, I don't know about the rest of the classes, wonder if they cancelled today for the fact of taking a bath at the pay window. Just a thought. Things could of been handled a little better. Did they call you later when you got home with the push trucks? I'll have to give a big hand to mt.vernon for having a race so late in the year for everyone that says Rick needs to stay open till the snow flies, by the way the stands looked he may have taken a hard hit to please everyone, and maybe had 150 people in the stands. Bet that never happens agian.
 
LOL, imagine how we felt, we drove 7 hours to get there!!! They did call the races right after the rain started though.

We were able to race at Mt Vernon so it wasn't a totally wasted trip. We hope to come back to the area again next season.

Thanks to all we met, we really had a fun time!!!
