"22nd Annual Hoosier Dirt Classic" at Brownstown Speedway up Next for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

BROWNSTOWN, IN--A Midwest dirt track racing classic will take place this Saturday Night, April 16 as the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN hosts the 22nd Annual "Hoosier Dirt Classic" sponsored by Bob Poynter Ford featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The 50 lap main event will pay $7,000 to win and $500 to start. This race is one of the marquee events of the season at Brownstown as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctions the event for the second straight year. There will be a complete show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with Oval Craft Racing Time Trials, VP Fuels Makin' Power Heat Races, The Mason Racin' Rebel Shock Dyno B-Main and the 50 lap Lucas Oil A-Main. Mike Jewell of Scottsburg, IN is the defending race winner.

The event will be the eighth stop of the season for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. In the previous seven events this year there have been six different winners with Don O'Neal the only two time winner on the series tour this season. Other drivers who have won with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2005 include: Tim McCreadie, Terry English, Steve Shaver, Steve Francis and last weeks' winner at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway, Jackie Boggs.

At Brownstown this Saturday pit gates will open at 2 pm with a special Driver’s Autograph Session at 4 PM, followed by Hot Laps at 6 PM, then Oval Craft Racing Time Trials at 6:30 pm. Brownstown Speedway has also announced that there will be a special practice session for the drivers on Friday Night, April 15 from 7-9 PM.
