Mark Burgtorf grabbed the 40 lap feature win in the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series at Quincy Raceways over 32 other drivers Sunday night. Burgtorf took the lead on the fifth circuit from early leader Billy Tuckwell and worked traffic to perfection to hold off Tuckwell until the checkered flag flew. Tuckwell held on for second with Boone Mclaughlin in third, Brent Slocum in fourth and Greg Kastli in fifth. Tuckwell, Mclaughlin, Thad Trump and Luke Merfeld were the heat race winners. Jim Swank grabbed the Summy Tire Dash for Cash win over Burgtorf in second and Darin Duffy in third. Gary Russell took the B-Main feature victory.
Michael Long took the win in the 30 lap Miller A-Modifed feature event. Long worked his way to the lead from his fifth row starting spot on the 17th circuit with a great pass of early leader Gary Wilson. Jim Roach grabbed second with Henry Delonjay in third, Gary Wilson in fourth and Vance Wilson in fifth. Brandon Lennox, Ryan Meyer and Long were the heat race winners.
Eddie Dieker won the bomber feature event over Billy Genenbacher, Adam birk, Steve Carlin and Brent Chapman. Dale Hatfield, Jeff Delonjay and Birck were the heat race winners.
Racing action continues at Quincy Raceways on Sunday, April 20 with Swim Suit Night at the races, wear a swim suit to the races and get in free. Gates open at 4:30 with hot laps at 5:45 and racing at 6:30.
