(Paducah, KY) C-Plant Federal Credit Union and Paducah International Raceway will recognize the racers with driver appreciation night this Friday July 6th, 2007.

Week after week the drivers come out and put on a show for the crowd as they race their racecars and risk personal injury at any given time in front of the fans at Paducah International Raceway. Whether it is the first night racing a 4-Cylinder Warrior or a seasoned veteran in a high-powered $40,000 Late Model, the drivers love to entertain the fans and run door-to-door with the competition.

C-Plant Federal Credit Union and Paducah International Raceway want to give the fans an opportunity to “Thank” the drivers up close and personal this Friday with Driver Appreciation Night. Race fans young and old will be able to walk on the track and say “Thank you“ to the drivers as PIR brings out all of the drivers and their racing machines to the front stretch of the high-banked 3/8th mile dirt track. Fans are encouraged to bring with items to have autographed by their favorite driver as they get this rare opportunity to get close to the cars and drivers on the racetrack on race night.

After the races a huge fireworks display will cap off a great night of racing at PIR as we celebrate the 4th of July Independence Day holiday.

Race fans are reminded that they can now enter to qualify for the Chevy Silverado Sunset giveaway at Paducah International Raceway. One lucky race fan or driver will win a new 2007 Chevrolet Silverado on September 7th 2007. Last weeks qualifiers were Larry Chandler of La Center, Ky., Wanda Putty of Crofton, KY, Janet Hartman and Keith Feezor of Paducah, KY.

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. Paducah International Raceway races every Friday night and is located off Interstate-24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky.
