Carl Edwards at Charlotte

Don't believe Carl for a second...that deal was totally his spotter's fault, but Carl being the great person he is took the blame. He's going to be a great champion someday.

BTW, is anyone else starting to get a little annoyed with Michael Waltrip's whining? If he can't handle a little rubbing and banging, he shouldn't be running the Truck Series...

gee skippy... you're not a carl edwards fan,are ya???? couldn't tell by your biased opinions here. i saw the 2 incidents you are refferrring to,and i didn't quite see it that way. if mikey would've taken edwards to the wall(nearly), like edwards did mikey, then you would be on here screamin' about mikey's rough driving. on the other incident, the yellow never came out,and the spotter never said it did. just slow truck down low. carl saw the tire debris and the truck slowing, and thought the yellow was going to come out,and he backed off for a second or 2,then sped up when he realized no caution. how is that the spotter's fault??? think you better look a little closer next time they show replays,so you see it a little clearer.

Actually, more than being a Carl fan, I'm a fan of racing and that's exactly what happened, is racing. Had Mikey done the same thing, I wouldn't have cared because that's what the Truck Series is about. And my "biased opinions"? Aren't ALL opinions biased? Am I not allowed to speak my mind here or is there some new guideline about posting here that I'm not familiar with? I guess since my "biased opinion" doesn't jibe with your expert analysis, that automatically makes me wrong...And as far as Carl goes, I know both him and his spotter and I also know what was said that WASN'T aired and yes, it was the spotter's fault...

I did not here the spotter's call on that particular incident, but I did hear it a few minutes earlier, when Carl's spotter DID call a "yellow out", but was wrong. The announcers even picked up on it, but were so busy listening to themselves babble that they did not know whose spotter it was. Mikey is not alone in his whining, most of the Cup guys do it when they "honor" a lower class by their presence, and are offended when the pagans dare lay metal upon them. Because, they are, after all, them. Carl sure held on to second, even after a win it or wear it attempt to regain the lead. How about that Jack Sprague? His weekly goal is to run into everybody on the track at least once, and when he has done that, start all over! He seems to have a very bad case of LMS (littleman's syndrome).

I would agree with the comments about Sprague to a point, but I have noticed several times, such as Mansfield, where the "field-fillers" refuse to get out of his way even though they know he has the better truck. And I agree some with your comment about the Cup guys, but I would limit it to a few. True racers like Schrader never complain about that stuff unless it's completely out of line. It's one thing to move another car/truck so you can pass them; it's another to wreck them. It's the difference between seeing the late Dale Earnhardt put someone into a wall and seeing Mark Martin so subtley moving someone in traffic that the move-ee would actually apologize, thinking they had gotten into Mark (I've seen that happen over the years with Martin at least twice). I had talked to Mikey while he was here in STL and that attitude kind of shone through here. You get the feeling a lot of these non-Cup events are against his will, so he goes in with a grudge. I know running Gateway was. I understand he's having a bad year and has the added pressure of Truex probably ending up in the 15, but the fact of the matter is, Carl isn't exactly just some punk field-filler; he's the next franchise driver for Jack Roush and has succeeded at every level of racing he's ever competed in, whereas Mikey is good at two tracks and that only came when he was put in great equipment. My job is to be impartial and un-biased, but when I post here, I get to be fan-guy, so yes, I'm a Carl Edwards fan, but I'm also right.
