Carson Ferguson, of Concord, NC, fended off a late race charge from Matt Long to claim his second consecutive win in the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance. Ferguson, who had to negotiate lapped traffic, was able to hold off Matt Long, who was closing in over the final ten laps of the Paratrooper 40 at Toccoa Raceway.
The win is the second in a row for Ferguson who won the final race of theFASTRAK Triple Crown at Friendship Motor Speedway on Memorial Day weekend. Ferguson sits atop the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance standings through seven races in 2019.
Matt Long picked up a heat race win, along with Ferguson. Ferguson was the top overall fastest qualifier with a lap of 12.864.
Nick Schlager is second in points after a fifth place finish in the Paratrooper 40. Michael Brown, Tim Vance, and Justin Hudspeth round out the top five.
