From official NASCAR press release:

After further review, officials of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) today verified the caution lights were unintentionally illuminated momentarily on Lap 130 of Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.

NASCAR officials were not aware of the caution lights being triggered briefly on Friday evening as well as the following day based on the available data, including videotape footage, which was reviewed.

NASCAR officials did not have confirmation that such an incident occurred during the 134-lap race until reviewing in-car camera footage that became available Monday. The additional footage did confirm the caution lights flashed momentarily.

Officials at NASCAR have concluded the switch that controls the caution lights in the flagman’s stand was momentarily triggered.

NASCAR officials spoke with driver Carl Edwards, team owner Jack Roush and crew chief Kevin Starland to apologize for the mistake.

“We made a mistake on this one,” NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Director Wayne Auton said. “It is regrettable, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure this doesn’t happen again. We apologize to Carl Edwards and everyone associated with the No. 99 Superchips Ford, including their fans.”

NASCAR officials also confirmed with Edwards and Roush officials that changes can not be made to the official race results in this instance. Even with the discovery of the footage that revealed the caution lights were momentarily illuminated, the official results can not be altered.

I heard that they where fresh out of Vaseline but told Carl that it wouldn't hurt as bad the next time he got screwed by them! :D

oh boo hoo. i'm all choked up over this one!!! i sure enjoyed seeing roush's stuff being ground into the walls at lowe's!!! too bad only 3 outta 5 got crunched. glad to see nobody got hurt, though.

So, you enjoy seeing drivers being potentially hurt at race tracks, just because you don't like the team? Sounds awfully ignorant to me.

moonflow... read the last 7 words of my post. if you still don't get it,then go find your crayons,so i can draw you a picture.then you might understand. i still don't like roush, and busch is a flaming moron who obviosly didnt learn anything when spencer flattened his face. but i dont wanna see anybody hurt.clear enough for ya? geez.

Here's a better idea, instead of cheering when a driver that you don't like hits the wall, when they might be injured and you don't know it, why don't you hope for a blown motor or a mechanical failure, or even a penalty on pit row?

I don't like DEI, but I sure as hell don't cheer when someone hits the wall.

ok... just for you,i will look forward to roush's motors blowing up,or fuel lines getting clogged,or .... wait... what about the potential for oil being on the racetrack, causing several drivers to lose control???? now, won't you feel bad if a motors blows up,causing a crash and possible injury??? sounds awfully ignorant to me!! hmmm.. sounds familiar.
