Rain forces Cerro Gordo Speedway to cancel 4/19.
With the entire state of Illinois getting little to no break from rain in the past two weeks Cerro Gordo Speedway has been cancelled for this Friday 4/19. The rains finally stopped late Thursday night but there will just not be enough time to dry up before tonight's event. We are working with several people to ensure the Quarter Midgets who were set to make there highly anticipated return for there Play Night get rescheduled. Once a date has been confirmed it will be released.
Up next for Cerro Gordo Speedway on 4/26 is the first ever Unilli Money Series $1000.00 to win. Not only will the Adult Clones be racing for $1000.00 to win but second threw fifth will be racing for $500.00 per position. Also drivers will be treated to drawings from 2013 sponsors as there will be giveaways from R2C Competition Filters and Joe Gibbs Driven Oil/ Cerro Gordo Speedway will also be running all weekly classes as well. Cerro Gordo speedway is located on Piatt County Fairgrounds and camping is always welcom. Join us next Friday night. Gates open at 4pm, hotlaps 6:30 and racing at 7. Grandstands are free.
