Cheatin?

Cheatin Bas--rds

Whatever happened to the original post, here is what it was about. What I wanted was to hear stories from drivers who have been accused of cheatin. I have helped with a couple of cars the past few years and have heard some woppers! So how bout it share some of your accusations and let everbody have a laugh.

How about losing all your points for the year because your wheel off-set was an 1/8 off. It happened to me!!! All the wheels I got from bart racing measured 4 inches from center to the outside lip of wheel. Highland checks them from center to the inside lip. Yet you can run any length Ford 9-inch rear. That could hang the tires WAY out there. I ran the stock rear end don"t figure does it!!! And I was the past year champion!!!!! The year before they said I was cheating with hidden weight ( An 8 pound steel plate my battery sat on....... Hows that????

The way I was told to check them by everyone, was lay the rim down on flat surface face up,measure from ground up to center of wheels bolt holes. Highland checks them with a piece of steel that fits in the lip of wheel to center. Every wheel I have is brand new right out of the box. I ordered 4 inch off-set. Every one was right at 4 inchs from ground up to center of wheel. The point I"m trying to make is how can you run a ford 9-inch thats any length, with the wheels hanging out on both sides, yet a stock rear-end with an 1\8 inch off wheel is illegal? And lose your points for the year? The ford rear end cars were way more than a 1\8 of an inch. But thats ok? Don"t figure!

Yeah thats the way ya measure em, wasn't trying to be a smart alec just in your first post it sounded like ya was measuring center to the outside, instead of center to inside,
