Atlanta, GA - Feb. 20, 2008 - The 2008 Rislone www.rislone.com USCS Modified Series season opening event at Checkered Flag Speedway in Hohenwald, TN www.checkeredflagspeedway.com has a whole lot more at stake than the $1200 top prize money going to the feature winner that day.

It's almost certain that the 2008 Rislone USCS Modified Series Champion will be in the field for the season opener at the 1/4 mile clay oval located two miles West of Hohenwald on US Highway 412. Participation in the season-opener assures those competitors at CFS on March 1st a shot at the 2008 series title or possibly a top ten finish in the season’s standings. The 2008 series awards fund will reward the top ten open wheel modified drivers. Those drivers have a chance to receive their share of the one of the richest ever, if not the richest, payouts in Mid-South open wheel modified history. Approximately $30,000 in cash and merchandise will be awarded at the season’s end banquet to the top ten drivers and the series’ Rookie of the Year.

The 2008 Rislone USCS Modified Series Champion will receive approximately $7500 dollars in cash and contengency at season's end and beyond in the form of a $3000 Championship check and $100 per event as the defending Champion at each 2009 series event (approximately ($3000) plus the balance in merchandise awards to be distributed at the 2008 Rislone USCS Modified awards banquet.
