Atlanta, GA – Chub and crew decided at the last minute to change their schedule and race at Oglethorpe Speedway Park just outside of Savannah Georgia. Oglethorpe Speedway Park has quickly become a destination on the road to Florida for winter time racing.
Chub driving his Corry Rubber/Allstar Performance/Nystrom's Auto Sales/Draime Racing Engines/Rocket Chassis/Pierotti Motorsports/Slavic Custom T-shirts/Farr MotorSports Chevrolet Monte Carlo #1* qualified 2nd out of 31 cars in a shortened 1 lap of qualifying and started on the pole of the second heat race where he went on to win ahead of fellow Rocket chassis drivers Tim McCredie and Rob Blair. That transferred Chub into tonight's $5000 to win Georgia Triple Crown Series event.
Chub went on to win the Georgia Triple Crown Series with Earl Pierson in second and Tim McCreadie in third and Rick Aukland in forth.
Chub and the 1* crew now head to Volusia Speedway for The World of Outlaw Late Models - Dirty Dozen tour starting on Tuesday, February 3rd, 4th, 6th & 8th for their inaugural event.
